Science Fair is coming soon
The PTA Science Fair is on Thursday, March 22. The aim of the Science Fair is to have fun while exploring multiple aspects of science in a hands-on way. To help facilitate this, the PTA will provide tri-fold display boards to any Ben Franklin student who would like to participate. Students should see their teachers for display boards and general Science Fair Guidelines and Entry forms are posted on the Science Fair page of the PTA website. Students should also check with their teachers for more specific guidelines and timelines if their participation is required for class. We will need parent volunteers on the day of the event to help before, during and after the fair to help make it a success. If you'd like to help out with this year's event, please contact Prasidha Raja.

After-school Spring programs
Planning for Spring after-school classes is underway. The session will run from April 16-June 1 and will likely include math, computers, drawing, sports and more. Look for registration to open on in mid-March.

Would you like your child to attend an after-school class for FREE?
We are looking for a parent to organize chaperone signups for all eight Spring after-school classes in exchange for one free course of your choice for your child. This job includes building and managing the sign-ups for all classes, taking time to educate chaperones and overseeing the process for the duration of this session. Please contact Audria Stubna ( for more details and to register your interest.

Franklin Library Fundraiser
Traditionally, Franklin Library has hosted a book fair to raise money for book purchases. This year our vendor opted out of doing in-school book fairs, so we are trying something new. Please join us on Thursday, March 8 for a fundraising event at Brick and Mortar books at Redmond Town Center. Four children's authors will be on hand to showcase and sign their books! Please see the flyer for more details.
