Franklin's Science Fair has been renamed The STEM Symposium. It will be held Thursday, March 28th, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Ben Franklin Commons

By turning the science fair into a STEM Symposium, not only will students have the opportunity to make a STEM related project, but they can choose between a science project, an engineering project or a coding project. Your child’s teacher will be giving you more information soon.

As part of the STEM Symposium, we are looking for volunteers who work in or spend time in STEM fields to share what they do in STEM at the STEM Symposium. Volunteers will be asked to share their STEM experience with a booth at the Symposium. If you are interested in this opportunity, or have questions, please email Katie Uppendahl at

For more information please download the attached flyer which provides guidelines, resources and examples of some of the exciting projects kids can do this year.
